How do you post a picture in a post?

I want to add a picture in a post but can't figure out how to do it.  When I try the insert image icon it tells me I don't have any files to pick from. 

1.  If your image is on your computer select the second image icon (second image of tree) on your text editor.

2.  Select the "Browse" button in the Insert Media box and then click on the "Upload File" tab on the bottom of the box (see image below)

3.  Select "Choose File" and then find the photo on your computer.  Highlight the photo, select "Choose" and then select the "Upload File" button.

4.  Select the "OK" button

Don't forget to add your tags (key words) at the end of your post when finished writing it.

It seems to me that in order to be user friendly it would be better to have the photo loaded under profile so that it comes up anytime the member posts.  Maybe it is and I haven't figured it out yet.  Please advise.  Thanks.
