In a home that I recently sold, I had a cabinet that had a large chunk out of one of the doors. I have no idea how it happened but it was very unsightly. I could not find a matching replacement that would be cost effective, so... I repaired it with a little spackle that I mixed with instant coffee grounds untill I got the right color. It worked beautifully and cheaply. I have also had a lot of success with Old English Scratch Cover and Old English Lemon Oil. It's not just for the furniture anymore.
