    Where to Spend $2,500?

I figure I can spend about $2,500 on improving our home, what is the best resource for determining the best place to put that money?

    Hi Cheryl,

My first suggestion would be to find a home stager in your area who can come to your home and give you a cost effective consultation to help you determine just what you're asking about. Most likely for under $200 you can get answers from a professional who will steer you in the right direction. If nothing else, do some research online or right here at Engergized Seller and read, read and read some more on where you'll get the most return on your investment for home improvements.

    Re: Where to Spend $2,500?

Thanks Karen.  We decided to spend the money on the bathroom, kitchen and miscellaneous touch up work.  We spent about $700 on the bathroom (see post here) and another $1,500 on the kitchen.  Of the $1,500, we spent $1,000 on a new Frigidaire double electric wall oven.  This was such an improvement because it looks new and much better than the other oven, and since this is a focal point of the kitchen, I think it will make a big difference.  We also spent about $500 on cabinet knobs, counter repair and wall touch up.  As far as hiring a stager, we'll do that when we get closer to listing our home.  I think it is a good idea, but I'll want her/his help for decluttering and arranging the furniture.
