    Does laminent flooring look cheap?

Our home has laminent wood flooring in our dining room, office and living room.  Although it is more practical than carpet, I can't stand fake wood floors.  To make the floors worse, in my mind, is that the people who owned the house before us also put in very expensive oak doors into the office (and a different color).  Combining the expensive oak and fake wood really bothers me.  We bought the house this way and constantly debated whether or not to replace them with real wood. Now that we are selling the home I wonder if it will be a turn off to people.  Would replacing the laminent (approx. 800 sq. ft) with real wood be worth the investment?

As long as the flooring is in good shape and the color and style is consistent throughout the areas you mention you shouldn't have a problem unless houses in your price point and location have real wood floors and are competitively priced with yours. It could run you several thousand dollars to replace and can you be sure you'll choose what buyers are looking for with confidence?

You obviously liked the home when you purchased it for more than the combination of "oak doors and fake wood floors" and have lived in it without changing it for yourself then there must be selling features that attracted you. Does it have a great flow, nice architectural details, space? Highlight the other good features of the house.
