From the buyers' standpoint, they will appreciate your investment in granite for the public areas over the private bathrooms. The kitchen is an area everyone will see and one of the most important areas of the house - it could very well be a dealbreaker regarding the sale of the house. But do what...

Kitchens sell houses. Nuf' said. The bathroom countertops look in good condition as do the fixtures. Keeping the fixtures consistent throughout the bathrooms will be a good alternative to replacing the countertops. I would go and check out the competition too that's in your neighborhood in your...

We have budgeted replacing either our kitchen or bathroom countertops, but not both, with granite. Will buyers, when we're ready to sell, appreciate the upgrade more in the kitchen or bathrooms? We have been given one estimate, so far, that prices each equally. The kitchen has two long counters ...

Such a cost effective approach to lightening and brightening and what a great result! I like how the backsplash was removed and painted (it was just painted right?) it looks very cottage like and quaint. Glad to see you here Melissa!

New knobs and hinges would make a big difference as well.

How do you clean deep stains on your stovetop? I'm worried about hurting the finish by scrubbing too hard. What cleaners would you recommend? And most of all, if it does scratch which will buyers be more turned off by, Scratches or stains?

Of the $1,500, we spent $1,000 on a new Frigidaire double electric wall oven. This was such an improvement because...

Although I loved my kitchen when we moved in 10 years ago, I now realize that as we're preparing for a sale in the coming months that it is outdated (15 years) and isn't at the standard buyers will want. In our small neighborhood in Missouri people expect granite counters, updated cabinets, and...

What you're selling here is storage space and a potential buyer can't see it even though you probably have a lot. Keep in mind what a buyer is looking for and purchasing when home shopping in all areas of the house. For the pantry - the shelves and storage space should be highlighted - the stuff...

Keep your fridge clean and clear of all magnets and decor as it detracts from the kitchen itself ( a big factor in a home sale) which is what you want buyers to focus on, not your stuff. I'd rather have buyers looking at my beautiful kitchen not the photos I took at my last vacation. Good luck!
