About Us
Welcome! We're glad you've come to EnergizedSeller.com. We started EnergizedSeller because we saw what we believed to be a tremendous need home sellers have for common sense information that will help them get their homes ready to sell. We've all watched the home improvement shows, seen the pretty home magazines, and surfed the net for high gloss, heavily produced, general examples of what a house can look like if you have a high dollar professional team helping you. But the reality is that not all of us can afford or have access to that kind of "help" when it comes to selling a home.
This community web site is intended to give practical advice and answer your specific questions on improving your home in order to maximize its value and sell it as quickly as possible. Don't waste money on high end carpet; don't get frustrated when a buyer loses interest for what you consider "a stupid reason;" and don't keep the mindset that the buyer will just fix everything when they move in. Most buyers will scrutinize a house more closely if there are little things to "fix". The buyer does not want to fix anything; the buyer wants to move in... NOW! Selling your home, in order to maximize the value, takes a very proactive approach. EnergizedSeller.com and the professionals that contribute on this site present you with real life, practical solutions that will energize you and help you make smart, cost effective, timely improvements to your home for a quick and profitable sale.
If you are a home seller, Realtor, home stager, home improvement professional, or anyone else who deals with the selling of homes, this is the online community/resource for you. As you saw in our About Us video, we believe that great information equals great value. And, to us, the best way to provide the most comprehensive, practical and cost effective information is by allowing people, such as yourself and others involved in the process of selling homes, to interact with one another. The home seller has specific questions and concerns, the Realtor knows the market and how to be an effective marketer, stagers know how to arrange and make improvements that buyers want, and other home improvement professionals (e.g. painters, handymen, landscapers, etc.) know how to get the actual work done. Together, we all have experiences that can add tremendous value to the home selling process.
Home Sellers - It is our hope that you, the home seller, will read through the information presented here and recognize that there are certain things you can do in order to maximize the value of your home. Selling a home requires work, but the rewards can be great if you know what you need to do to ensure that you get your asking price in the least amount of time. We want you to see what other people from around the country are doing to maximize the value in their home. And, if you see that a specific question you have hasn't been addresed, that you'll post your own question. We hope that you will be appreciative to those who spend their time answering your questions and giving you usable, professional advice. In return, we also hope you will evaluate these professionals and, ultimately, hire or refer them. Some jobs really do require the expertise of a trained professional.
Realtors®- It is our hope that you, the Realtor, will see this as a resource for your clients and that you will appreciate that the information contained on this site will help make the selling process go more smoothly. Additionally, as the real estate industry changes, and more and more people depend on the Internet when buying and selling a home, utilizing web tools such as this is a GREAT way to get your name in front of people in a positive, helpful manner, and to increase your chances of being found by the search engines. In addition, this social networking site provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise and will help you stay on top of your game. This is just one way that the Internet is changing your industry and we recommend that you use it to your full advantage. Get Involved! (Note: We also recommend Realtor social networking sites like Real Estate Agents Online, Active Rain, RealTown and Realtor.com. Stagers - It is our hope that you, the home stager, will use this site as an opportunity to demonstrate your expertise and get noticed by people who need help making improvements to their home in preparation for a sale. Although not everyone visiting this site will Stage® or hire a stager, many visitors will recognize the value that your expertise can bring to a transaction, realize the difficulty that comes with staging a home, and will seek out someone like you in their market to help. Also, like other professionals on this site, this is a great way for you to get noticed by the search engines. (Note: Also Check out the blogs and/or forums for stagers on Active Rain, IAHSP, and ASHSR as other great social networking resources for Stagers!)
Home Improvement Professionals - It is our hope that you, the ones we depend on to make our homes look like the homes that buyers want to buy, will use this site to demonstrate your expertise and get noticed by people who need you. Many home improvement professionals are not confident in their ability to share their thoughts, experiences, and advice face to face with their clients. This site provides a way for you to do all of those things without risk. Stand out from the crowd, build trust, and capitalize on new ways to promote your services. We hope that the bright, well experienced Home Improvement Professionals will be able to provide great information and will then pick up great referrals for doing so.
Social networking through sites like EnergizedSeller.com is a great tool. The key is not to be intimidated. Explore the site, read what people are saying, join, learn from the good information, discard the bad or non-applicable information, and get involved. If you've ever sold a home, you have experiences that may help someone else. If you're in the business of helping sell homes, then there's no better place on the web to demonstrate your expertise. Very few of us are lucky, pretty and/or articulate enough to get on TV to share our questions, life lessons, and expertise. But through sites like this, we can all share practical experiences and address specific concerns that are every bit as smart as those on TV.
And Finally... we will manage this site with our solemn promise to keep it informative, resourceful, and fun. Life is too short for discourteous behavior, unhelpful posts, blatant self promotion, or irrelevant chit chat. If we see something we don't think adds value to the users or helps build the EnergizedSeller community, then we're going to delete it. Yes, we know we'll get nasty e-mails and posts - but for the good of the site's content, we have to. Sorry in advance. Now, please go enjoy, learn, teach, network and tell all of your friends about this exciting new tool. We look forward to reading your input.
